How to contact Dr. Yañez
I am an online instructor and do not have an office on campus. If you need help, the best way to reach me is email. If possible, use our internal class email – it’s more secure than external email. For those who are new to Brightspace, the steps are:
Click the envelope symbol (top right side of the Brightspace page), and then click “Email.” Use the "Address Book" to find my email address.
If you’re not able to use our Brightspace class email, use your MGA student email and send your message to my MGA address: anne.yanez@mga.edu
The two email systems don't mix! From inside Brightspace, you can send email ONLY inside Brightspace. Also, outside email (like MGA accounts, gmail accounts, etc.) will NOT be delivered inside Brightspace.
If your message is URGENT, please include this word in your subject line.
Please don’t include sensitive information (such as student number, social security number, etc.) in email messages.
Contact me for help with course content (grades, questions about assignments or tests, help with the reading material, etc.).

When to expect a reply
I answer email every business day.
I don’t answer email after business hours, or during weekends & holidays.
If your message arrives after business hours or during a weekend/holiday, I’ll reply on the next business day.
If you haven’t received a reply within two business days, please re-send your message. This usually means there was a technical glitch and I didn’t get your message. Please check the address - make sure everything is spelled correctly.
